I recieved the above mentioned watch, A Citizen BL5250-02L Eco Drive, from Amazon. It is a beautiful watch but when I checked the month and leap year settings the watch did not respond th the buttton settings to make the proper settings. I followed the directions and zeroed the watch to eleminate any problems with the electonics but the same problem existed. I called the next day and as told I could not exchange it because amazon was out of the watch but had t return it wait for a credit and then oeder a new one and would have to come from a partner company and that the entire ordel would take 3 weeks to a month. Also, when I recieved the watch it seemed it was placed in the box with the inflated plastic protection to one side. I do not know if it was moved around enough to cause the problem but it was not packaged properly. Instead of waiting another month I took a chance and ordered another watch which is not coming directly from Amazon. I have almost always had very good luck with Amazon buying camera equipment and many other items but this case is unusual as it seems I recieved a lemon and the wait time I was told about was almost insulting as I put my trust in Amazon but it does not seem to work the other way. I hope the next watch is okay and the Amazon service returns to the excellent level I am used to and that the credit is applied quickly.

I love watches, especially chronographs. I've had the Omega Flight Master to the humble Timex, and I've enjoyed every one of them. I was never crazy about the selection from Citizen either until now.
This chronograph looks like a rich dark blue on your Amazon page, but if it's blue, it's so dark as to appear black. A sapphire crystal protects the face, which has wide luminescent hands and markings so the time can be read easily in the dark. The leather strap is genuine, beautiful and like anything else is made in China. The strap adjusts to the wrist fast enough.
The face holds a number of surprises. There is a tachymeter, a feature I have never learned and probably never will. If this can be used as a compass, then it looks like I am doomed to wander the wilderness in circles. The faces within the face are not all for measuring time. The bottom face (at the 6 o'clock position) is used to adjust the chronograph, alarm, and time zone feature. I have yet to try the other ones. The face in the top left (10 o'clock position) is a 24-hour clock, and the face on the top right (2 o'clock position) measures time in minutes. The larger sweep calculates seconds using the larger face. Ah, but the calendar! There's the rub! Rub-a-dub-dub! It automatically adjusts to those months that are only 28, 29 and 30 days long, so you don't have to manually skip date 31 yourself. It does the skipping for you.
The watch is tight enough to resist pressure at 300 feet, (another feature I never plan on using). It has a counter-clockwise rotating titanium bezel which is smooth during rotation. I prefer the distinctive clicks of this movement which I can hear in the dark. Its real selling feature is that the battery never needs replacing because the watch's exposure to sunlight recharges the battery. It also comes with a small DVD to show you the working of the watch. You just have to be able to read the number on the back of the watch first so you can add it as the code that let's you read the directions and get help. Make sure you have a magnifying glass so you can read it and unlock the key to the universe.
The watch has a large face and looks smart. It is not as heavy as I have been accustomed to with Swiss Army watches. This piece is also fashionable for any occasion except black tie.
Most importantly, it looks as good in on my wrist as it does on the Amazon page, and at $240.00 you can't go wrong. If you're looking for a nice gift for a man. Give this some thought.

I bought this watch a week ago and I'm very satisfied with it. Flawless. I also own a TAG and this watch doesn't seem to stay one step behind it. Very beautiful, just the right size for my wrist (strap and case), works just fine, has a perpetual calendar, chronograph, dual time and alarm. Would buy it again. No doubt about it. It comes with a new E820 caliber mechanism, different from previous versions with the E816. If you're willing to buy it, do it. You won't regret it.
