The Band is Brass under the Plating September 8, 2010 M. D. Von Struble (Yuma, Arizona) Bought this watch as a graduation present for my grandson. It was everything he wanted; analog, chronograph, calendar, and BLACK. That was important. He wanted a black with silver watch. Within six weeks of receiving the gift, the black plating on the watch band started wearing off on the outside. Now, some 10 weeks into the wear, the plating on the inside of the band is coming off on his wrist. That's how I know the band is brass. He loves the watch. He does not like the brass. Very, very disappointing!
A Very Handsome Everyday Watch August 6, 2010 avecverve (San Leandro, CA) I've had this watch for a couple of years now. It's my "everyday-watch"; I'm a construction engineer. It keeps excellent time. The styling is great. I have received many comments from people impressed by the fact that from afar, it looks plastic, but up close, the shine of the metal reveals that it's made of beautifully-crafted metal. Its' very heavy. I haven't figured out all the gadgets, yet; it will probably take a lifetime. The fact that it's Eco-Drive is very, very cool, from a geeky/scientific standpoint.
Amazing watch. April 4, 2010 Bilgehan Onogul (Long island NY) Its a beautiful watch. it feels good on ur wrist, just the right weight. looks good.
Cons.
no light
the black finish on the arm band can wear off but i think it gives the watch some character.
screen diameter looks a little small, but i got used to it.
I would recommend this watch.
Classic aviator watch March 9, 2010 Stephen Matthews (Newark, DE) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had this watch for about 3 months. I bought it at a wholesale club for about what Amazon is selling it for now.
The watch has a nice heft. It was a little difficult to set but has run flawlessly since. The watch band tends to pull hairs but removing a link or two cures that problem.
My only suggestion for improvement would be some type of backlighting for the watch face or at least the digital display. The digital display is difficult to see since the LCD is somewhat gray on a black background.
All in all, I'm glad I bought this watch. I have two other Citizens, one other an Eco-Drive, and I've been very pleased with their performance.
Great Watch March 5, 2010 J. Navarro (California) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Gave this to my brother, he loved it. Great quality. I prefer Casio watches nevertheless.
